This position provides consulting services for a broad array of organizational areas. Develops organizational strategies and designs to meet current and future demands on the business. Leads and directs large-scale organization change efforts impacting multiple levels of stakeholders throughout the organization. Provides systemic solutions to implement, sustain, and optimize changes across the organization. Utilizes and provides leadership and team collaboration with Organization Development staff, Exceptional Patient Experience and Value Engineering staff to design and implement solutions across the organization. Develops and implements leadership development and talent leveraging strategies. Works closely with Employee Relations on any departmental performance management issues.
Responsibilities:
- Provides organization development consulting services for strategic initiatives within assigned function or region.
- Independently plans, designs and manages end-to-end learning projects that span large and/or multiple areas and that support complex and large change.
- Serves as organization strategy and change consultant and content expert to leadership.
- Provides coaching to leadership on leadership competencies, performance management, and other organizational related issues.
- Monitors and measures effectiveness of change programs delivered.
- Provides expert-level change management strategies and tactics to enhance effective implementation of organization initiatives.
- Assists with implementation of a strategic training approach to engage and enhance professional development of leadership skills that increase performance and improve retention.
- Provides content and delivery design services for a wide range of training and development needs across UUHC leadership.
- Ensures transference of learning through proficiency demonstrations, review of defined metrics, and feedback from course evaluation ratings and leadership teams.
- Employs current adult education concepts and learning approaches in curriculum design, including experiential teaching techniques, accelerated learning principles, interactive delivery methods and variations in presentation of learning materials.
- Partners with leadership development team to establish standardized training format and templates for course materials, facilitator guides and intranet content.
- Provides expertise on adapting current training programs to alternative delivery channels such as the company’s intranet, e-Learning, and self-study packages and toolkits.
- Acts in a leadership coach and/or mentor role to provide guidance to UUHC leadership.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Knowledge of employee training and development methodologies and ability to ensure that a target population has the knowledge and skills required to meet both tactical and strategic objectives.
- Knowledge of Training and Development (T&D) functions and practices; ability to evaluate, follow, and lead T&D trends and directions within the organization.
- Knowledge of and ability to design, implement and evaluate industry and organizational standards, procedures and policies relevant to staff training and development.
- Knowledge of and ability to identify what people need to learn for successful individual and organizational performance.
- Highly skilled in project managing large scale initiatives cutting across multiple lines of business involving many stakeholders
- Experienced with strategic project and change management/oversight with proven ability to lead and manage multiple assignments and stakeholders simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement innovative approaches.
- Knowledge of organizational development interventions such as process consultation, coaching, performance management, and appreciative inquiry
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize appropriate procedures, tools and techniques for developing a solution to stated training or organizational development needs.
- Demonstrated competency in large group facilitation and project management.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct, interpret, analyze, and synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative data.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area of assignment, or equivalency.
- Four years of experience in organization change, organization design, performance improvement, and/or benefits realization.
Qualifications (Preferred):
Preferred
- Experience in a health care organization.
- Master's Degree in Organizational Development, human resources, business, industrial engineering, organizational psychology,or similar degree. mnster
